On the 16th of June, which was a cold Friday night, 30 Year 12 students and three brave teachers attended the annual Vinnies' Winter Sleep Out. Students were responsible for preparing the evening beginning with prayer and reflection, information presentation, trivia and activities. We were privileged to have Courtney Deighton a Vinnies' representative join us on the evening. She led the students in an advocacy awareness activity. The results were quite impressive from letter writing, to poster production and song composition. The evening highlighted the many issues leading to homelessness and the many ways students can continue to make a difference in their communities once they have left the College.
Special thanks to Georgia Topolovic and Mrs Topolovic for the kind donation of the knitted scarves and beanies, a very generous contribution and thank you to their community in putting this donation together. Congratulations to the Year 12 Vinnies' Team in preparing the evening and a big thank you to Mr Culbert and Mrs Anzellotti for their support on the evening.
