On the 9th of February the St Vincent de Paul Society Committee had organised a day of selling delicious pancakes at lunch to the students and staff of St Andrews College.
On Shrove Tuesday, families would consume foods such as meats, fats, eggs, milks and fish as they are regarded as “restricted” during the time of Lent. On this day we were able to work as a team and raise money for Vinnies as well as preparing ourselves for this special tradition of the Christian Faith. It was a very successful day for the Vinnies Team and the students as we were able to sell all of the pancakes that we cooked ourselves. We wouldn’t have been able to do all of this without the help of Mrs Melki, the students and staff.
