It is with great pleasure that the St Andrews College community congratulates Jacob El-Saidy on his Gold Medal win in the WorldSkills Australia, Western Sydney Region Competition.

On Tuesday the 3
rd of November Jacob El-Saidy and Taylah Crook travelled with Mr Araujo to St Ives High School Trade Training Centre to compete in the Hospitality - Food and Beverage Category of the competition.

During the competition the students demonstrated their outstanding Vocational Education and Training skills that they have developed in their Hospitality course during Year 11.

The competition is open to young Australians aged 23 years and under and is an opportunity for school students and apprentices to have their skills marked against the national training packages as well as industry standards and benchmarks.

Both Jacob and Taylah were fantastic ambassadors of St Andrews College. Their performance is a reflection of their commitment and diligence and they should be very proud of their achievements.
