What a fantastic day the College had at the walkathon on Thursday the 9th of June. This is one of the big events that displays the great spirit of St Andrews College.
The day started with a fashion parade of the costumes worn by the different Houses. Thanks to all the students that went out of the way to dress up for their House. Each House had a chance to do a parade on the stage. There was lots of screaming, laughing and clapping as they paraded in front of the school.
After the excitement of the parade, the House groups started the 7km walk around the streets of Quakers Hill and Marayong. There were concerns that there was going to be rain but the weather changed and the students had great weather during the walk.
After a couple of hours the students arrived thirsty and hungry. They were greeted with some water and chips and then fed a hamburger made by the Year 11 Hospitality students. This hit the spot and prepared them for the afternoon activities.
Once lunch had finished the students has a choice of some passive talking time, a dance party or a movie. It was a great way to finish the day.
I would like to thank the staff for all their effort in the organisation of the day and the students for their excellent behaviour and participation. It was a truly great College event.
