Each year the Bishop of Parramatta seeks to recognise the outstanding young men and women in our Catholic schools with the Bishop of Parramatta Award for Student Excellence.
The 2015 St Andrews College recipient of this prestigious award is Emma Webb.
Emma has been actively involved in the leadership and development of the Young Christian Students Group at St Andrews College. In this role she continually raised awareness of issues affecting young Christians whilst enhancing their understanding through the Catholic teachings. Emma’s involvement with the College Social Justice Group and the College St Vincent de Paul Society Chapter has seen her organise and lead students and staff with fundraising activities and awareness building presentations that deliver insightful information about social justice issues.
Emma is a compassionate and confident person, who builds her character on doing more and going beyond in an effort to transform our world.
Emma has excelled academically and has achieved outstanding results throughout her school life. Her witness of the Catholic faith and determination to achieve her personal best reflects a commitment to live out the College motto of “Faith in Christ”.
On the 3rd of September Emma was presented the Bishop of Parramatta Award for Student Excellence at a ceremony held at St Patrick’s Cathedral. Year 11 student, Jessica Hostiadi supported Emma as she read her Citation.
