On Friday the 14th of August, a group of talented students represented the College at the PDSSSC Dance Competition at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre.
Students from Years 7 to 12 performed group dances in the Hip-Hop and Jazz sections with Jessica Turner of Year 10 performing in the Senior Solo category. Although the College did not place, the girls who attended gave their all in exciting, well-polished performances.
The dancers enjoyed the experience of performing on such a professional stage and had great fun helping each other out with hair, make-up and costumes. Although the girls were full of nervous energy, they performed with enthusiasm, personality and skill. Mrs Weaver and Miss Pett, who accompanied them on the day, were both extremely impressed with the professionalism of the students.
All dancers are very keen to start working on performances for next year’s competition.
