On Friday the 17th of June, Year 12 Leaders, Claudia Linares-Motterle and Jessica Hostiadi prepared a night focussing on the ever growing issues in society of Homelessness.
Activities were about understanding the issue of Homelessness and then looking for ways to bring Mercy to those in our society. Putting into practice the spiritual and corporal works of Mercy, “How can I being one person make a difference to someone else’s life?”
Year 12 students that attended were challenged to think about their ways of Mercy and these were captured on our Mercy Wall.
Year 12 students braved the conditions of doing without for one night, leaving the comforts of home at home and sleeping on the cold hard floor to heighten the awareness of the homeless. Thank you to Mr Culbert and Mrs Anzellotti for your support in making this event possible for our students and to the Year 12 students who participated in making this an authentic experience.
