Jordan Ciappara and Daytan Freen were nominated for the Western Sydney Region VET in Schools Student of the Year Award 2017.
Mrs Julianne Becroft nominated Jordan as a result of his outstanding work in Business Services, and Mrs Henrietta Stathopoulos nominated Daytan Freen for her exemplary work throughout the Entertainment course.
Jordan and Daytan participated in a rigorous selection process by completing an extensive application and were then short-listed for a panel interview. Jordan, was then selected as a Finalist for the Regional VET in Schools Student of the Year 2017, for which he was the Winner. Jordan received his award on Friday the 16th of June at the Awards Evening, along with four other Finalists.
This brilliant result can be attributed to his strong work ethic, determination to succeed and methodical approach to his studies. Competency tasks are always completed to a standard beyond what was required. Jordan also took initiative to organise his own work placement.
We are very proud of both Daytan’s and Jordan’s achievements.
