On Saturday the 27th of May, students from Year 7, Year 8 and the SRC represented the College in the Blacktown Parade, which formed part of the Blacktown Festival.
Students practised marching on Thursday before the event with Mr Kolek, who drilled them into fine marching representatives of the College.
The morning of the Parade was clear and sunny, a stark contrast to the Parade last year which had to be abandoned due to inclement weather conditions. Students arrived at the venue, on time and looking their best in their uniforms. They were given flags to hold which represented the different nationalities found at the College.
Our students marched through the streets of Blacktown to the cheers of onlookers, proudly supporting our great school. The students were fantastic ambassadors for St Andrews College, and I would like to thank all students and staff who came on the day, or supported the event in some way.
