The Year 12 SLR class had the first opportunity to see the newly refurbished College Gym.
The students were blown away by quality of equipment and the amenities that will become a fantastic learning space for the students.
Mr Kennaugh was able to explain the reasoning behind the refurbishment and the benefits it will have to the fitness and wellbeing to the students and staff who will be able to use the new facility.
Even though the College is waiting on a few more pieces of equipment the Year 12 SLR students were put through their paces and enjoyed the privilege of being the first class to use the space.
Due to COVID there are strict protocols in place with no fewer than 6 hand sanitising stations, sign in sheet, COVID 19 Safety Plan and luxury bathroom facilities to keep everyone safe while using the gym.
I am sure the rest of the staff and students are looking forward to making the most of this resource when it becomes fully operational sometime in term 4.

Commitment to Close the Gap clear for Western Sydney Catholic schools
Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) has released its first annual Closing the Gap report. This report outlines its contribution to improving socio-economic outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly students and their families. Bishop of Parramatta recognises student excellence
Each year, one Year 12 student in every Catholic secondary school in the Diocese of Parramatta is awarded the Bishop of Parramatta Award for Student Excellence. This prestigious award is nominated by the school principal and recognises a student’s witness to their Catholic faith and outstanding contribution to the school community in areas such as academic excellence, sporting achievement, creative and performing arts, social justice, vocational education and community involvement.
