On the 15th of June more than 40 students from Years 10 to 12 participated in the Vinnies Sleep Out held in the Senior Campus Library.
The night began with a presentation by a representative from St Vincent de Paul Society. The representative informed us with information, beyond our knowledge, of homelessness and we learnt how to be proactive regarding this unjust issue.
Following this, homemade soup for dinner was served by our very own Vinnies Executives. Further, we had the opportunity to bond with our peers by playing enjoyable group games and activities and finished the night off by falling asleep to a movie.
Overall, it was a once in a life time experience and we were enlightened about the true struggles of homelessness.
