St Andrews College has started its Gala Day campaign in style, with the boys taking out all three divisions.
The following week the girls did us proud with outstanding sportsmanship and competing always with a smile. Below is a report on all teams and a huge thanks to Miss Knezevic, Miss Pett and Miss Basazza for their tireless work with the students.

Year 11 and 12 had a fantastic day they made it to the Grand Final against Emmaus that was at 1:30pm. We won the grand final 55 – 15.
This is a great achievement especially as they were the 2014, 2015 Champions as well. This is the third championship in a row for the Senior Boys team!
Thank you to Kathleen Carrero and Raghav Dhiman who helped with the bench throughout the day.

The intermediate division was a difficult competition, with our girls up against many representative players from other schools. Our team worked fantastically under pressure and were able to support each other and show great teamwork. We had some great shots including some great three pointers, but the girl’s just narrowly missed out on bringing home a win in their games.

The Junior Girls team had not had the opportunity to play together before we rushed off the bus to compete in our first game at 8:30am. The girls were so enthusiastic and willing to learn and demonstrated this by participating in training drills in between their four games on the day. With training and great teamwork they finished the day in fourth place with a 20-6 win against St Marks. Congratulations Junior Girls!
