Students in Year 9 are learning about the Structure and Function of the Human Brain, We discovered different sections of the brain, called lobes, have different functions.

Using swimming caps we were able to 'map' the lobes responsible for vision, speech, hearing, smell, taste, motor co-ordination and sensory processing.

Did you Know?
The prefrontal cortex of the brain is responsible for impulse control, decision making, planning and judgement. Adolescent brains undergo a period of intense neural re-organisation in this area between the ages of 12 and 25.
